Find your way back home
Mobile update: I just realized that I still haven't written anything about my journey from Nice back to Stockholm. Not too unexpectedly, I came just on time to my flight from Nice to Frankfurt. The stewardess even had to accompany me to the plane because I was the last passenger to board. In Frankfurt I spent some time exploring the tax free shops and when there was about half an hour left to my plane's departure, I started going towards gate 32, which was written on my ticket, but when I got there, there was no one there. I found one of those boards with all departures and saw that the Lufthansa race to Stockholm would leave from gate-fucking-21. I don't know how on earth I could have missed that and there was no time to examine the reasons further. Here is when the really crazy shit kicked in... So, I got to freaking gate 21 and you can probably imagine my surprise when I saw that they were boarding passengers to DRESDEN! "Excuse me, I am going to Stockholm. Where do I go?" I asked. The answer I got was simply: "You missed it". My shock was huge! How could I wave missed the plane if there was still fifteen minutes left to departure?! The guy explained that the passengers had to take a bus because the plane wasn't right by the gate but a bit out and that the bus had already left. "DO SOMETHING!" I half screamed to the guy but he said there was nothing he could do, with the "you-got-yourself-in-this-situation-now-deal-with-the-consequences"-attitude bursting all around him. I felt the damn tears build up and there was nothing I could do to stop them from finding their way out of my eyes. The first guy and another mean woman left and I was left there with a relatively young and, might I add, quite nice looking guy. Obviously he is one of those poor fuckers who doesn't know what to do when they see a woman cry. He panicked, begged me to calm down and made a quick phone call. The next thing I knew he told me he had me booked on the next flight to Stockholm which would depart at seven the next morning. The last seat was "unfortunately" in first class and I didn't have to pay anything for this! I thanked him, this saviour of mine, and went to the bathroom where I managed to calm down after several minutes. I even got the guts to call Mom and tell her about this. Can't say she was too pleased though XD I used the time at the airport to write a bit in my journal and just listen to music. I didn't get much sleep that night because I was worried I would miss the flight again. I woke up at five and went to the tax free shops where I bought a perfume (Beyond Paradise by Estée Lauder) and did my make-up. Though it actually was the case, I didn't really wanna come home looking like someone who had just spent her night at an airport XD In short, I made it to the plane and arrived safely in Stockholm :) Today, about three days afterwards, I unpacked my suitcases. Well, that was all XD
