I have spent this day shopping. Or should I maybe say, trying to shop? I ran all over Nice in my pink flip-flops desperately searching for a dress. A very specifif one, in fact. I am actually the worst imaginable shopper. Instead of appreciating what the stores have to offer, which usually is a lot, I always have a strong and persistant mental image of exactly what I want and I keep comparing everything I see with that.
Today I had mentally designed the most beautiful gray-silver dress. It was above knee length and very simple. Simple because I was planning on accentuating the accessories and shoes. Well well well, did I find this drss? Of course not. I tried with everything - real dresses, big T-shirts, long tops, short tops in large sizes... Nothing worked. Either it had the wrong colour or it was too long or too short. Or the wrong material or just wrong. Can you understand my situaton?
My only consolation is that I would be the perfect costumer with a personal taylor. He would be so pleased with me for having such clear descriptions of exactly what I want, and I would definitely like someone sewing me exactly what I want and exactly the way I want it :D WIN WIN!
The truly amazing thing is that I WILL get a taylor made "little something" soon for a really special event that will take place in September. I will not say anything more about it right now though, I don't want to ruin the surprise. All I will reveal now is just that I am really - REALLY - looking forward to it! ;) ;) ;)
